About The Project
The organization steped into the area of Lohardaga with a project namely “Communicating women &child health” supported & catalized by NCSTC
- Anemia, maternal mortality, low birth weight, prenatal mortality is major problems of the project area.
- Seventy percent of women have anemia in Jharkhand.
In this situation we are intervening in two blocks of Lohardaga-Kairo & Kudu.
The main objective of this project is :
- To inerpret & popularize the nutritional security aspect, astronomy, and space science.
- To disseminate information and knowledge related to food security.
- To promote appropriate nutritional practices.
- To build capacity of local community on women health and nutrition.
Almost 500 women &adolescent were provided training so that they can be helpful to enhance scientific temper within the community.

Methodology:
- Active involvement of all the stakeholders.
- Orientation & training of informal health providers a key Resource.
- IEC materials in local languages.
- Schedule for vision screening camps and eye check up.
- Referral services.
- Product & services knowledge and their availability accessibility to urban slum population

- FGD
- Baseline Survey
- Sharing of baseline report
- Frmatio of kishori clubs
- Training of Kishori clubs
- Training of AWW, Sahiyas. PRIs
- Promotion of Kitchen garden in 200 household
- Celebration of days -nutrition week (1-7Sept), Breast feeding week (1-7 Aug).
Outcomes:
- The rural women collectives have started discussing about the importance of hygenic behaviour to stay in healthy condition.
- Altogether 200 households are directly linked with kitchen garden to enhance their nutritional aspect through The members of Kishori clubs.
- Almost 3000 women &1500 adolescent are directly envoleved in the activities for bahavior change in the community.
